Utricaria is also known as hives. Utricaria is raised, itchy red rashes that are triggered by reaction of food, medicine, or other irritants. It appears on one the part of body or spreads across large areas.

It is also known as weals, welts or nettle rash. The rash is usually very itchy with burning or stinging pain.

The change in affected area may appear in 24 hours. Rash may settle in few days or they may be noticeable for several days or longer.

There are 2 types of utricaria:

Acute utricaria: if rash stays less than 6 week is acute utricaria.

Chronic utricaria: if rash persists longer than 6 weeks is chronic utricaria.

Angioedema

Angioedema is a type of swelling that can be related with hives. It is the swelling in deep layers of the tissue around the eyes, lips and face. Throat, Hands, feet, & genitals may also swells. People may get angioedema and hives at a same time. Sometimes people have angioedema without hives. Pain of angioedema can be itchy and painful sometimes. It usually disappears in one or two day.

The symptoms of utricaria include:
