Malaria is the plasmodium infection. It is a disease which is caused by the parasite  plasmodium which is transmitted by the bite of infected female anopheles mosquitoes. Malaria is a life-threatening disease.

Two species of plasmodium p.falciparum and p.vivax plays major role in malaria. P.falciparum causes serious condition of patient, it can be life threatening while p.vivax does not cause serious condition but it remain dormant in patient’s liver and can cause reappearance of the symptoms.

If the malaria is not diagnosed and treated properly it can also lead to coma or death of the infected patient.
